For Our Well Being

We have learned over a period of time that what we give we do receive, however it starts with giving. We have learned there are basically two types of people ones that give and ones that take. Givers do well for the most part in life. We all do have struggles here and there in life, but answers come to those that are givers.

We in The Kingdom of Hearts are givers and we ask that all that come to us to learn the lesson of giving. Part of this is in the our collars of love where a woman comes to us and we give to her. It is the first step to accept this collar. The next step and collar is to learn to give and help others so we receive. Women that learn these simple lessons are successful in all aspects of their lives for the most part.

In USA for Africa much was learned with that program. It did go to help many, but it they learned it takes more than funds, it also takes solutions through diplomatic channels and scheduling for transportation and distribution. What is still need is a long term approach to solve the problems. One good thing about the stars doing what they did is it brought attention to some of the problems in Africa, but because of the take an aspirin mentality most expected a quick fix, much like a take out dinner at the local drive through fast food restaurant. Areas hard it need long term solutions and consistency in the programs to help people, which is why we take the approach we do.

We ask you to consider this principle so you to can grow and succeed. We have the ability to bring effective change globally, but it is up to each one of us as individuals to make those changes in our lives. Once we choose to learn the principles it changes our lives, how we see things and effects everyone we touch. That has the power to change us, those we touch and those they touch. It is all somewhat a chain reaction for the good or bad.

We ask you to consider supporting some of the following for your well being and growth:

The Kingdom of Hearts, Foundation for Humanity: A key component of involvement in The TKOH Foundation is partnership through your vote in the forums and donations: joining with us as global change agents and becoming part of the solution in people's lives. Here your vote counts and can make a difference. We lobby the decision makers and bring influence to public and foreign policy to help to create a better planet to live on. Your vote is need! That with other members votes sends a clear message to policy makers. In addition, your donation also helps. It doesn't have to be a large donation, but even $1 per month US can change the lives of many.

World Vision:  Your gift today will multiply 9 times in impact to help families feed their children and break the cycle of hunger. Across Africa, over 800 million people don’t have enough food. And every five seconds, we lose a precious child. By the end of the day, hunger will claim the lives of 15,000 innocent children.

Teen Charity: TeenCharity.org is the internet's leading charitable resource for young adults. Our goal is to get teenagers more involved in charity work by helping them find issues they really care about. At our site, individuals can find a list of popular organizations in their area, tailored specifically to the interests of young adults.

20 Ways to help teens: Today there are some 1.6 million missing teens in America some never to be heard from again. Some leave home on their own and some leave to avoid abuse either sexual abuse or physical abuse. Have you ever thought about volunteering your time to a local charity or community organization? There are many different reasons for you to start volunteering:

  • To help others
  • To learn about an activity or organization that interests you
  • To beat boredom (if you find yourself sitting around the house feeling totally bored, volunteering in an activity you enjoy can be a great way to change things)
  • To overcome a loss you have experienced (one of the best ways to help yourself in a time of loss is to help others)
  • To gain perspective on life (there is no better way to understand your blessings than to help people in need)

Safe Home: The SAFEHOME Circle is a group of professional adults who provide fund raising and volunteer support for SAFEHOME. The SAFEHOME Circle offers opportunities to meet new people and network with other professionals while playing a vital role in SAFEHOME’S efforts to serve victims and their families.

The Shelter: The Domestic Violence Shelter, Inc. is a private non-profit organization that opened its doors in 1979 as one of the first three domestic violence shelters in the State of Ohio. The Shelter was started by a group of citizens who determined that a domestic violence shelter was needed. The program began in a structure above a car dealer downtown with two rented rooms.

AARDVARC: This site is for victims of violence, their families and friends, and the agencies and programs which serve them, both public and private. Issues addressed here currently include: domestic violence, stalking, and sexual assault. The child abuse and adult survivors of child sexual assault sections are currently being re-built and should be back online shortly.

AWEE: More than twenty-five years ago a few trailblazing Arizona women took on the challenge of changing lives through the dignity of work for the growing number of individuals in our community relying on welfare. Since that time, Arizona Women's Education & Employment (AWEE) has been successfully investing in women, families and this community through life and career success planning, training and support.

"Comfort Women" was the term used for women who were forced to work as sex slaves, by the Japanese Military, in military brothels (comfort stations) in Japanese occupied countries during World War II.
